MRS. TEXAS 2019
Shannon Dresser earned a full scholarship to the University of Hawaii as the featured twirler. Shannon was a member of the dean’s list every year and a scholar athlete in Track and Cross Country.
In 2009 she earned her B.A. in Sociology, Minor in Speech, in 2010 she earned her Graduate Certificate in Conflict Resolution. Through pageantry, Shannon earned a scholarship for her Master’s of Science in Organizational Leadership.
After spending 10 years in Hawaii and 4 ½ years as a Honolulu Police Officer, Shannon and her husband moved to Katy Texas. Shannon has been a Katy ISD Police Officer for over 3 years and is one of the Canine Handlers for her department.
Shannon and her husband Chance love to say that they have a family of 5, the two of them, their 10 year old daughter Lily Ann, their 5 year old Chocolate Lab Aurora Marie and of course Shannon’s German Shepard K9 Cruz. Shannon is honored to be the Community Ambassador for Teen and Police Services (TAPS Academy) and looks forwarding to encouraging further positive interaction with police officers and our community.
In October, Shannon was crowned United States of America Mrs. Texas and will be representing the lone star state in February at the National Competition in Las Vegas, Nv.
